Daikin expands its energy-efficient complete system 'Multi+' and offers a compact solution to handle air conditioning, heating, and domestic hot water in one system. One outdoor unit can supply up to four indoor units and a hot water tank. The innovative air-to-air heat pump Multi+ is suitable for larger households as well as smaller commercial applications. Thanks to new outdoor units, larger hot water tanks, and optimized connection options, Multi+ now offers even more flexibility and comfort. The system is designed for properties with a total area of up to 150 m². The simple installation of Multi+ also makes the system ideal for retrofitting in existing buildings.

Daikin Multi+: Bringing maximum comfort to homes

1. One outdoor unit for up to four indoor units

The outdoor unit of the Daikin air-to-air heat pump Multi+ is now available in three sizes (5.2 kW to 10 kW nominal heating capacity). This unit supplies up to four indoor units, which can be flexibly combined according to needs and aesthetic preferences, similar to a multi-split system.

Wall-mounted, floor-standing, ceiling-mounted and cassette units are available, which can be seamlessly integrated into various room concepts. The indoor units eliminate the need for conventional radiators, making retrofitting in existing residential and commercial buildings easier.

2. Hot water tanks in four different sizes

For hot water supply, four tank sizes with capacities of 90, 120, 180, and 230 liters are available, allowing for a suitable solution to be chosen based on the size and needs of the property.

The larger water tanks (180 and 230 liters) can be combined with the 5MWXM68A9 and 5MWXM90A9 outdoor units, and are particularly suitable for households with up to five residents, where multiple people use hot water simultaneously. Their connections at the top facilitate installation and maintenance.

The smaller water tanks (90 and 120 liters) are wall-mounted with connections at the bottom, enabling easy installation with the 4MWXM52A9 outdoor unit.

Thus, the Daikin Multi+ offers various options for different spatial and technical requirements.

3. Automatic and flexible hot water production

The hot water production of the Multi+ automatically switches on whenever no hot water is being drawn and the air conditioning is not in operation. When the heating function is used, hot water production can occur simultaneously. Through the integrated MMI control, individual operating times for hot water production can also be set, such as during the night or when residents are absent, using the timer function and priority settings.

A standard integrated electric heating element also ensures reliable and flexible hot water production in summer when the air conditioning is in operation and maintaining comfortable room temperatures.

4. Easy maintenance, control, and combination with photovoltaic systems

The Multi+ is now also supported by the Daikin Cloud – a remote monitoring system that makes maintenance and service processes more efficient. The platform allows technicians to monitor and adjust device parameters remotely. This enables potential problems to be detected early and resolved more quickly, optimizing the service process and saving time and costs.

5. Flexible application possibilities

The Daikin Multi+ impresses with its flexibility and easy integration. It is suitable not only for private households but also for use in public and commercial areas as well as in leisure and sports facilities. Thanks to its compact and space-saving design, the Daikin Multi+ is an ideal and cost-effective solution for various requirements.
